Nate and I were on the road a few days ago driving home when we spotted this guy on the side of the road walking and pulling his bicycle along with him. The road was level and it was a beautiful day so we were both puzzled as to why he wasn't riding! Wouldn't it be easier? So, then we came up with some excuses for him:
~ Maybe he had a flat tire.
~ Maybe he actually doesn't know how to ride.
~ Maybe he had saddle sores.
~ Maybe, partway through his ride, he forgot how!
Any other ideas?

~ Maybe he was having a heart attack an wanted to attract help.
~ Maybe He scraped his knee and wanted someone to stop and give him a booboo
kiss.
~ Maybe His scoter bike was out of gas.
~ Maybe he liked to walk.
~Maybe his bike needed a tune-up, like mine, from sitting in the damp shed all winter and was making ear-splitting squeaking noises with every rotation of the wheels.
~Maybe he wanted to look like a knight in distress and be rescued by a fair damsel.
~Maybe his bicycle seat split down the middle.
~Maybe his backside was numb from riding too long.
What profound and extensive philosophical pondering over such a trivial and mundane topic. His seat undoubtably sore, or perhaps he had sunstroke. Maybe he's an ax-murderer who wants to incite you to pity to pick him up. Maybe he had to update his blog, or comment on yours.
Maybe you made him do it so you would have something to write on your blog.
My personal theory is that his bicyle seat was either lost or stolen, and he could no longer handle perching on the seat post...
I imagine potholes were rather painful.
Nah, he was just a bum. He was trying to elicit pity from passerby's and get some sparechange...
Maybe he was riding along, and suddenly he thought to himself with a wild surmise, "If I just pushed my bike along the road on this beautiful day, I sure could confuse a lot of passing motorists!"
Clearly, he succeeded.
That's what it would have been if it were me.
Exactly what I was thinking, Asaphat!
He was probably just tired of riding! Maybe he'd just ridden ten miles and wanted to give his legs a little break.
Okay, time for a new post on here!!
~ Maybe he was wondering how to start his blog and thought he could write about how he walked all the way home?
