You know you live in New England when...

Over the loudspeaker at the store you hear the announcement "Please come to our wicked fancy shoe sale..."

Shoes are inherently wicked. Only sandals received the biblical mandate. Repent, ye women with 500-shoe closets!

Did you ever notice the line in "Finding Nemo" where the news is spreading across the ocean that Nemo's dad is looking for him, and the scene flashes to the lobsters, and they say, "It's wicked dahk down heah"? Well, I haven't spent time watching all the extras on the "Nemo" DVD, but a friend told me that that part was put in just for an animator from New England, contrary to the plot because there are no lobsters near Australia. (??) The friend who told me knows that sometimes I slip a "wicked" into my conversation. Anyway, that part on Nemo makes me chuckle when I see it. I love my wicked cool heritage.
