What is the name for that? Isn't it called something funny like sun-dogs or... something...? I was just contemplating this the other day and couldn't remember it and it's been bugging me... SUNDOGS???!!! Is that really it? HELP!!!
That is so beautiful, Penny! Not sure if my camera would have captured that right. Claire, my Aunt Alouette said that sundogs are those funny smudges of rainbow you see once in awhile way up in the sky. I just watched a charming movie on TV last night where this little girl was told by her Grandpa that those were angel rays. He said that meant your guardian angel was watching over you. The movie was called "Eveyln" and had Pierce Brosnan in it--an Irish picture set in the 40s--based on true story, I believe. I highly recommend it!
Penny, I love this picture! Visible sunrays are one of my favorite sights in all the world. It's like getting a little glimpse of Heaven as it touches earth.
